LUDLOW, Mass (WWLP) - Someone may have deliberately started an early morning fire that destroyed a large home in Ludlow.
The fire started at 17-21 Lower Whitney Street about 1:30 Sunday morning.
The six apartments had been vacant since an earlier fire there in February of 2012.
The sight of this building going up in flames saddened Tracy Morrissette. She told 22News, she used to live in one of the apartments.
"We drove around and I saw flames and I noticed there was an apartment I used to live in maybe 20 years ago. I used to live here and I got married while I was living in the apartment," said Tracy Morrissette.
Neighbors watched as the blaze completed the devastation caused by the unsolved fire of a year and a half ago.
Ludlow Fire Chief Mark Babineau told 22News, the house had been vacant since that earlier fire
In the Chief's opinion someone likely set this building on fire.
