CHICOPEE, Mass (WWLP) - A recent uptick in house breaks has some residents in Chicopee Falls on edge.
Mayor Michael Bissonnette and police officials hosted a neighborhood watch meeting at the Chicopee Public Library Monday night.
The meeting focused on how neighbors can work together to keep each other safe from crime.
Mayor Bissonnette told 22News that residents need to be the eyes and ears of the police department by reporting anything out of the ordinary.
Francis Seymour told 22News, "I check our street all the time, and I see a lot of strange things and the last time I called the police department. They were there in minutes."
Mayor Bissonnette stressed that residents need to be vigilant, making sure their doors and windows are locked when they're not at home.
