HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - Holyoke Police are now saying there were two firearms used in Wednesday night's shooting on Walnut Street in Holyoke.
Holyoke Police Lieutenant Jim Albert told 22News that police found 19 to 20 shell casings after a 25-year-old Holyoke man was shot in the stomach in front of 289 Walnut Street.
The unidentified victim is in serious but stable condition.
Wednesday night, Holyoke Police Sgt. Philip McKay told 22News, "Police received a call of shots fired in an alley between Walnut and Pine Streets at around 9:30 pm. When they got there they found a shooting victim who was rushed to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield."
Lt Albert told 22News that police do not have a suspect.
Lt. Albert said police believe there were multiple assailants, and that the victim was on the move when he was shot. He said they found evidence of different weapons at the location.
