HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - Police in Holyoke are still searching for a man who they say, stole bottles of oxycodone from a Rite Aid Pharmacy over the weekend. He is believed to be armed and dangerous.
The incident happened just before 6:30PM, Saturday at the 1504 Northampton Street location. Lt. Isaias Cruz told 22News the suspect flashed a gun in his waistband and hopped over the counter, forcing the cashier to open a safe containing the pills. At the time of the robbery, the man was seen drooling and witnesses say he seemed unsteady.
Police need your help this morning in finding this suspect. He's described as:
- An Hispanic man
- 150 lbs.
- Straight dark hair and bright highlights (may have been wearing a wig)
- Last seen wearing jean shorts and dark sneakers
- Considered to be armed and dangerous
Lt. Cruz also said that the suspect may be connected to a robbery that took place at the Chicopee Rite Aid, two weeks ago.
