WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The snow's almost gone but now drivers are dealing with potholes in western Massachusetts.
The sign along Westfield's North Elm Street warns drivers to slow down and use North Elm Street at your own risk because of potholes ahead.
Stacy Dagenais of Russell told 22News she makes a point to pay attention to that sign. "The potholes are horrible. They're a danger to the vehicles. Look at all the hubcaps on the side of the road. There's nothing we can do about it, the city can do something about it."
Pothole season's just getting started as the snow melts and the freeze thaw cycle continues in the Pioneer Valley. Do you know of potholes in your town? Email 22News at ReportIt@wwlp.com .
Departments of Public Works are making temporary patches because it's still too cold to apply "hot patch" for a more permanent fix.
