EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) - 22News reporter Ryan Walsh stopped by Rock 102's studios on Monday morning, about his frightening, first-hand experience at Friday night's gas explosion on Worthington Street.
He spoke to the station's morning show co-hosts Mike Baxendale and John O'Brien on their popular morning show about what it was like to be there during those scary moments.
Ryan was reporting live on 22News when the Scores Gentlemen's Club on Worthington Street exploded.
"There were people just kind of pouring out the buildings, because they only evacuated about a block on Worthington between Spring and Chestnut; and then windows shattered for about two blocks around, so then police and fire had to start getting everybody out," Walsh said.
He said that he was hit in the back by a flying piece of glass, but fortunately is okay.
