CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Mother Nature seems to be squeezing in every last bit of winter before the official start of the spring season at 7:02 Wednesday morning.
Just because spring is almost here, doesn't necessarily mean this is the last snowfall we'll see. Commuters have already had several more snowy morning drives this year compared to last.
Many teachers and students got to stay home for yet another snow day Tuesday, and that made things a little more manageable on the roads for those who did have to head into work.
Marie Cromwell of Longmeadow told 22News, "Actually really not all that bad. So far so good. I don't know how the day is going to go forward because they're talking about a little iciness but you survive everything."
Most of the main roads and highways were in good shape in time for the morning commute, but as expected some side streets and less traveled roads still needed some work.
The last day of winter snow storm didn't just cause headaches for commuters it's going to mean another costly cleanup for an already over budget MassDOT .
