HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - The former interim superintendent of the Holyoke Soldier's Home has been disbarred for allegedly stealing money from a client.
Michael Pasterczyk had a private law practice while serving as an administrator at the Soldier's Home.
According State Supreme Judicial Court documents, Pasterczyk forged documents in 2004, and deposited 4,500 dollars from a personal injury settlement into his own account.
The client, Helen Edelding died from a terminal illness in 2011.
Pasterczyk told the board of bar overseers that the misappropriation of funds was a mistake on the part of his secretary.
The board could not find the secretary who left Pasterczyks practice in 2008.
