SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Churches in Springfield's Old Hill neighborhood have been holding a series of community togetherness activities.
Holy Redeemer ministries invited people in the neighborhood Saturday to join them on Eastern Avenue and King Street. Church missionary Terryl Wilson told 22News what's behind this community effort.
“This is a form of outreach to the community and also appreciation of the work of Bishop Naylor through holy redeemer ministries,” said Wilson.
To help benefit the people living in this Springfield neighborhood, the Pioneer Valley Red Cross and the Springfield fire department among others helped provide vital information to improve the quality of life.
