SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - UPDATE: According to STCC Facebook & Twitter page, the school will be open for normal business on Wednesday, Sept. 25. All day and evening classes will be held.
Students were evacuated and all classes have been cancelled at Springfield Technical Community College, due to a threatening message.
Debra Avery of STCC facilities told 22News that they are investigating the message, but could not elaborate on how the message was conveyed, or what it contained.
The school sent out alerts to students, saying that they have cancelled all day and evening classes, and that the campus was evacuated as a precaution.
The shutdown of classes at the school comes just one day after Holyoke Community College was closed following the discovery of a threatening message there. Classes were allowed to resume at HCC on Tuesday.
