SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Square One Daycare Center has been accused of engaging in unfair labor practices.
After a 10-day hearing, an administrative law judge of the National Labor Relations Board issued a decision that Square One unlawfully implemented video surveillance and other policies without notifying or bargaining with the workers union.
The judge has made recommendations related to the National Labor Relations Board to correct the matter but the daycare's CEO told 22News she doesn't agree with the ruling or the recommendations.
"We are disappointed and do not agree with the judge's findings and his recommendations, and we do plan to submit exceptions to those recommendations," said Square One CEO Joan Kagan.
Square One provides care and services to about 1,200 children in the Springfield area.
