SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Seven local Latinos are one big step closer to becoming small business owners Wednesday night.
The Massachusetts Latino Chamber of Commerce saluted the most recent graduates of its small business seminar.
The free program teaches students the ins and outs of small business startup and management.
One grad told 22News thanks to the program, she'll be carrying on her mother's dream of opening an authentic Puerto Rican restaurant. "I encourage people who are looking to be business owners and small business owners to take these courses, because they're free, and they really make a difference in the quality of the type of business you have," said Jennifer Daigle-Matos, Las Jibaritas Restaurant.
