SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Super Sunday is just a few days away, and many of you already know where you will be watching the big game. But that's not the only important plan to iron out; how will you get home safely?
The Insurance Information Institute says that this Sunday is one of the most dangerous days to be out on the road.
Earl Pollins of Springfield told 22News that he stays home on nights when he knows a lot of people will be drinking and driving. He said that he looks out for his guests, too.
"If guests do come to the house it is a concern. If they over-drink and drive, I'd take their keys and still call them a cab. I would not under any circumstances them drive home," Pollins said.
Massachusetts is one of 37 states that have laws that may hold social hosts responsible if their guests get into crashes that cause injury or death.
