SPRINGFIELD, Mass (WWLP) - Two people are in the hospital after a shooting that occurred on Westford Circle in Springfield.
Police say the shooting happened outside a party in the 190 block of Westford Circle.
Police went to the area of 197 Westford Circle for the report of a shooting just after midnight. When they arrived they found a 22-year-old man had been shot in the shoulder and a 20-year-old man had his head grazed by a bullet.
Captain Harry Kastrinakis of the Springfield Police Department told 22News that both victims were taken to Baystate Medical Center. The 22-year-old man is said to be in stable condition and the 20-year-old was treated for a head wound.
Both are expected to be okay.
Captain Kastrinakis told 22News this morning that they are still working on this case and trying to determine what started the shooting and did not have any suspect description to release at this point.
