WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The final Newtown victims were laid to rest this weekend, but vigils to honor those women and children continue throughout the Pioneer Valley and across the country.
In Westfield, people were invited to the Moose Lodge for a candlelight vigil.
A Westfield priest led them in prayer as they honored the memories of the little children and teachers who were violently killed just more than a week ago.
Patrick Locklear told 22News, "This organization takes a lot of pride in our children. Heading this tragedy we just wanted to take a few minutes to say a prayer and give our prayers and respect to the families of the teachers and the children. "
Locklear also told 22News the Westfield Moose lodge is affiliated with the lodge in New Haven, which serves the region near Newtown.
