WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The suspect who Westfield police say shot a man in the leg last week is now in jail, being held in lieu of $100,000 cash bail.
Raymond Michael Boissanault, 22, of West Springfield was arraigned in Westfield District Court on Tuesday.
Police Capt. Michael McCabe told 22News that downtown on Friday evening, the suspect had pointed a gun at a woman with whom he was having an argument. He then allegedly shot a man who had gotten between the two of them. Boissanault was arrested Monday night on Main Street.
Our media partner, The Westfield News, was in court for his arraignment . They report that two counts of attempted murder against Boissanault brought by police were not among the charges listed during Tuesday's arraignment.
He will be back in court on April 30.
