SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (WWLP) - It was a spooky night Saturday in South Hadley. A local Boy Scout troop hosted a haunted walk through the woods along Amherst Road.
The first hour was for the smaller kids. After that, it got a little scarier. People who wanted to get a good weekend scare were asked to pay $10 or $5 with a can of food. The proceeds go to benefit Neighbors Helping Neighbors, the food pantry in South Hadley.
Saturday’s haunted trail took about two weeks of hard work to get ready.
Rebecca Bartholomeu told 22News, "Well you're going to see a butcher block where we are dissecting some people. We have a child day care with zombie babies. A farm with a working water wheels. And a lot of scarecrows and scary people. And Jason, we have Jason."
If you missed the haunted trail on Saturday, don't worry. It's also being run Friday October 18th and Saturday October 19th from 6-9PM at 500 Amherst Road in South Hadley.
