NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP-AP) - A Hampshire County judge heard arguments Monday on whether South Hadley officials must disclose details of a settlement that the town paid to the family of Phoebe Prince.
Prince committed suicide in January 2010, and five students accepted plea deals in criminal cases connected with bullying.
Attorneys for Emily Bazelon argued for a court order requiring South Hadley to disclose details of the settlement with Prince's family. Bazelon is a reporter and editor for the online magazine Slate. The ACLU is representing Bazelon in the case.
Judge Mary Lou Rup has not yet ruled on the case.
