NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - Friday night's steady rain put a damper on people's outdoor plans. However, it still hasn't been enough to cause any major flooding.
22News went to Northampton where there was some minor puddling and ponding along Route 5. The water level was high near the Oxbow Marina, and there was some flooded farmland.
22News asked people if they're concerned about all this rain eventually causing problems.
"The strawberries don't like the rain. So that's a concern for a lot of people right now, the fruit should be ripening soon. So yeah, absolutely, I used to work on a farm and you worry about the river rising," said Rose Lynch of Easthampton.
The rain is left over from Tropical Storm Andrea.
22News will be monitoring the levels of small streams and rivers on Saturday and Sunday. Make sure to follow the 22News Storm Team for updates on the local forecast.
