SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (WWLP) - The search for a missing 5-year-old girl has entered its fifth day. State Police say the girl fell into the Connecticut River off a dock behind a Cove Island Road home on Saturday night.
State Police Divers have been in and out of the river since but muddy waters and strong currents have made it difficult to locate the body.

On Tuesday, fire departments from Holyoke, Springfield and Agawam also assisted in surface searches north of the Holyoke Dam.
Billie Grothues has lived in South Hadley for eight years, and says the tragic incident hits too close to home.
"I pray that they find the little girl. I feel for the parents because of their tremendous loss and the heartache that they have. I understand that emotion, that feeling because I lost a daughter and a granddaughter in a car accident about 25 years ago. And it's still there," said Grothues outside her Maple Street home on Wednesday.
The girl's family is from California and was in South Hadley visiting relatives.
