GRANBY, Mass. (WWLP) - The Northwestern District Attorney's office has made an arrest in a murder that took place in a Granby home a year and a half ago.
According to a news release from the District Attorney's office, late Wednesday afternoon, a Hampshire Grand Jury returned an indictment charging 45-year-old Cara Rintala with the March 2010 murder of her wife Annamarie Rintala , in the home they shared at 18 Barton Street in Granby.
Rintala was arrested on a fugitive from justice warrant in Narragansett, Rhode Island, where Rintala has lived for approximately the last year.
If Rintala waives extradition, she could be returned to the Hampshire Superior Court for her arraignment as early as Thursday afternoon.
