PALMER, Mass. (WWLP) - A new poll suggests a solid majority of Palmer residents supporta proposed casino in their town.
The survey by the UMass Dartmouth Center for Policy Analysisfound 60 percent of Palmer voters are in favor of a casino to town.
The survey showed strong support among people of all gendersand age groups and all political preferences.
Despite the fact that casino gambling isn't yet legal inMassachusetts, the Mohegan Tribe has proposed building a casino onThorndike Street right off the Mass Turnpike.
