BOSTON (AP) - The identification card of a man suspected of attacking two women in South Boston was found at the scene of another alleged assault in the city last year.
A spokesman for the district attorney tells the Boston Herald (http://bit.ly/13auAK8 ) there's no indication Edwin Alemany was ever arrested in connection with the September 2012 incident.
Alemany is charged with stabbing one woman and punching another in separate incidents in South Boston earlier this week. Investigators are trying to determine if he may be linked to the abduction and fatal stabbing of 24-year-old Amy Lord on Tuesday.
According to a police report, the victim in the incident last September said she grabbed at her assailant as she was losing consciousness. When she recovered, she found a wallet with Alemany's identification card inside.
Police say they're reviewing the case.
