BOSTON (WWLP) - Members of the public were not being allowed near Massachusetts General Hospital for part of Monday evening as police investigated a report of a suspicious package there.
Security has been tight at Mass General and other hospitals in Boston, after two explosions killed three people and injured more than 130 others near the finish line of the Boston Marathon Monday.
Police have been investigating other reports of suspicious packages in the city since the explosions. The scare at Mass General was unfounded, and people were allowed back near the entrance.
Mass General is one of several area hospitals that have been treating the wounded.
