NEW YORK (NBC) - Alcohol, drugs and cigarette smoking remain problems among the nation's youth.
A new report from the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) estimates more than 881,000 teens smoke cigarettes every day.
More than 600,000 more smoke marijuana and more than 400,000 drink alcohol nearly every day.
The report suggests the number of teens who use marijuana in any given day could fill the Indianapolis Speedway two and a half times.
The report also focuses on how many teens receive treatment for substance abuse in a single day, that's 71,000 teens in outpatient treatment plus over 10,000 more in other forms of treatment.
