BOSTON (AP) - Boston police are investigating the death of a 13-month-old child whose body was found in a parked school van.
Police spokesman Officer Eddy Chrispin said emergency services were called to 18 Floyd St. in the Dorchester neighborhood at about 3:45 p.m. Monday afternoon. He said emergency responders found the body of the toddler.
Police say it was not immediately clear how long the child was inside the van before he was found unresponsive. Police say the driver was later taken to hospital for treatment of a stress-related condition. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
Experts in the office of the medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death. No further details are immediately available.
