BOSTON (WWLP) - It is going to cost drivers more to travel on the MassPike through parts of Western Massachusetts.
Tuesday night, the Massachusetts House and Senate agreed on a Transportation Finance Bill that adds tolls to exits one through six.
The Department of Transportation estimates that would add 10.5 million dollars to their budget. It's money that would go to fund projects in western Massachusetts.
Gov. Bill Weld eliminated the western tolls in 1996, a time when many of the state's senators were from western Massachusetts.
