CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - It's a story you first saw on 22News, a group of researchers tagged a twelve and a half foot shark off the coast of Chatham, Mass.
She was equipped with more than $10 thousand of tracking equipment.
The research group Ocearch named her Betsy and through their shark tracker you can see where she is now.
She was caught about five miles off of lighthouse beach in Chatham and now she's moving south a bit and is a few miles off of Nantucket.
Betsy isn't the only shark that has been tagged; there are dozens more from the coast of Massachusetts to Africa.
You can search the sharks by name or size and if you click on the beacon you can learn more about it.
