SANFORD, FL (NBC News) - Like they have in so many cities since the verdict, people gathered Monday in Sanford, Florida in response to the George Zimmerman verdict.
City leaders filled the pews at a local church for the first of a weekly series of "Peace and Unity" prayer services, keenly aware that the world is watching.
The groundswell of frustration in the wake of the not-guilty verdict continues to grow, with the issues of race and fairness at the center of the debate.
