AURORA, COLO. (AP) - Four people are dead after a police standoff with a gunman who barricaded himself inside his Colorado home.
It happened early Saturday morning in Aurora, the same town where the movie theater massacre took place this summer.
Police say a woman inside the gunman's house escaped unharmed and told police she saw three people in the house who appeared to be dead.
The standoff with the gunman lasted nearly six hours.
At one point he shot at police in an armored vehicle who fired tear gas inside. The gunman went upstairs and fired again, but police shot and killed him. Police haven't released any names or motives. No officers were hurt.
