LAS VEGAS, Nevada (NBCNC) - O.J. Simpson is back in court for a second day Tuesday, trying to get a new trial.
Simpson, in wrist and ankle restraints, shuffled into the Las Vegas courtroom for the second day of hearings he hopes will prove his former attorney was incompetent.
Simpson won a small victory when the judge allowed court officials to unshackle one hand so he could take notes and drink water.
Nearly five years ago the fallen football legend was found guilty of bursting into a Las Vegas hotel room with accomplices and robbing two sports memorabilia dealers at gunpoint.
He says his lead attorney Yale Galanter never told him about a plea deal he would have taken, and also says Galanter had conflicted interests, and knew ahead of time about his plan to retrieve what he thought were personal items.
