(1932-2013) - Carole A. (Gould) Keller, 80, entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 5, 2013. Born in West Springfield, daughter of the late Donald and Maxine (Hardy) Gould, she graduated from Agawam High School, worked for the Farmer's Exchange for a time, then moved to New York City to fine-tune her dressmaking skills at the Traphagen School of Design and set out on her career as a designer, dressmaker and eventually a pattern maker for Blue Bell Industries in Greensboro, N.C. She also lived in Albuquerque, N. M. and eventually returned to Agawam, where she lived for the remainder of her life. She especially loved doing crossword puzzles every day, reading, also every day, listening to the Saturday operas when they were performing her favorites, and the Red Sox!
Carole leaves her son David A. Keller of Wadsworth, OH, her daughter, Janet Keller, of Albuquerque, N. M., two brothers, Donald H. Gould and his wife Gail Gould of Oxford, MA, Philip A. Gould, of East Longmeadow, two sisters, Gloria G. Barnes of Westfield, MA and Marcia M. Macey of Potsdam, NY. She was very proud of her two grandsons, Christopher Michael Keller and Philip Matthew Keller, and loved her many grand-and great-grand nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives are invited to join together at the Agawam Funeral Home, 184 Main Street on Saturday, April 20 for calling hours will to be held from 9:00 – 11:00 am followed by a Memorial Service at 11. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dakin Humane Society, 171 Union Street, Springfield, MA 01105 or to the charity of one's choice.
