(1936-2013) - Jean L. (Serafino) Viecelli, 76, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at home.
Born in Springfield, daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine (Cheney) Serafino, she lived in Springfield and was a graduate of the High School of Commerce. She also lived in Agawam before moving to Peru in 1989. Jean had worked as a bookkeeper for Sam Salem Furniture for over twenty years. Previously she worked for Springfield Country Club and the Insurance Company of America. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking and was an avid reader.
She leaves her husband of fifty-six years, Elio Viecelli, a son and his wife, Jack B. and Elaine Viecelli of Agawam, three brothers, Donald Serafino of Springfield, George Serafino of Florida, Richard Serafino of Ecuador, a sister, Eleanor Farley of Springfield, and a granddaughter, Jessica Stimpson. She was predeceased by a sister, Barbara DelNegro.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 10am at the Agawam Funeral Home, 184 Main Street followed by burial in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday from 4-7pm.
