(1932-2013) - Roy A. Voci, 80, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 2, 2013. Born in Boston, son of the late Gregory and Teresina (Coppola) Voci, he grew up in Watertown and lived in the Belchertown and South Hadley area for many years before recently moving to Agawam. Roy was a graduate of Boston University where he did his undergraduate work and received his Master's degree in Education from Framingham State University. He taught in Watertown and at Cape Cod. Roy was the manager of the print shop for fifty years at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, he was a Navy veteran of the Korean conflict and a member of the Amherst Rotary Club.
He leaves his wife of forty-one years, Patricia M. (Gorman) Voci, a daughter, Lisa Crowley of Weymouth, a nephew, Daniel Gorman, and a niece, Laura Thomas. He was predeceased by a daughter, Andrea Murphy.
The funeral will be Monday at 12:30pm from the Agawam Funeral Home, 184 Main Street with a Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church at 1. The burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours will precede the service from 11am-12:30pm. Donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
