(1939-2013) - Vincent "Jimmy" Frogameni, 74, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 20, 2013. Born in Springfield, son of the late Vincent and Rose (Commisso) Frogameni, he was a graduate of Springfield Technical High School. He moved to Agawam in 1984. Jimmy was a serviceman for Westvaco before retiring in 2001. He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church and a member of the Springfield Lodge of Elks #61. The family would like to thank the staff of C1 at the Jewish Nursing Home for the kind and compassionate care that was shown to Jimmy during his stay there.
He leaves a daughter and her husband, Ann Marie and Ken Martin of Feeding Hills, his loving companion, Karen Daponde of Agawam, a brother and his wife, Phillip and Dianne Frogameni of Springfield, Karen's sons, Michael Daponde of California, Nicholas Daponde of New Hampshire, and three grandchildren, Vincent Martin, Olivia Daponde and Claudia Daponde. He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Frogameni and two sisters, Catherine Opedisano and Marie Trimboli.
The funeral will be Thursday at 9am from the Agawam Funeral Home, 184 Main Street, with a Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church at 10. The burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery.
