CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Monitoring your children's internet activity is becoming more difficult.
A new Pew Research Center study says three out of four teens have a cell phone and use online social networking sites, but Facebook is not the only app being used.
Researchers say it's getting harder to monitor kids because of the growing number of social media sites. Instagram and Snapchat are among the most popular.
Parent of two teens, Jim Olsen, told 22News, "You can only monitor it so much with all these different new technologies. I mean Snapchat for one is very popular right now is designed for the message to pretty much instantly disappear."
Snapchat lets you send a text, photo or video that disappears after 10 seconds. The application is among the Top 10 free iPhone apps available.
