BOSTON, Mass (AP) - Timothy Murray will be spending part of his last full weekday as Massachusetts lieutenant governor far from Beacon Hill's marble hallways.
Murray's public schedule for Friday includes two events in western Massachusetts.
Murray is set to participate with Gov. Deval Patrick in making a grant announcement related to the state's agricultural industry at Kosinski Farms in Westfield.
That event will be followed by Murray's final appearance at a meeting of Patrick's cabinet, also scheduled to be held in Westfield.
Murray officially steps down from his office on Sunday to take a job leading the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce.
On Thursday, Murray made a series of announcements naming replacements to fill his various leadership positions in the administration.
The lieutenant governor is not expected to have any public events over the weekend.
