MOUNT VERNON, N.H. (NBC) - Four teens are accused of randomly picking a secluded home torob, with the plan of killing anyone who happened to be there.
Prosecutors say the foursome broke into 4 Trow Road in MontVernon, New Hampshire early Sunday Morning. Kimberly Cates and her11 year-old daughter were sleeping inside.
Police say Christopher Gribble was armed with a knife andSteven Spader had a machete.
Prosecutors say they stabbed and struck Cates and herdaughter. Cates died in her bed, while her daughter sufferedserious wounds.
Spader and Gribble have been charged with first degree murderand are being held without bail.
Authorities say William Marks and Quinn Glover were alsoarmed when they broke into the home. They face burglary and armedrobbery charges, but are not accused of murder. They were orderedheld on a $500,000 bail.
The daughter underwent hours of surgery in Boston and is instable condition.
