(KUSA) - It is golf's equivalent to lighting striking twice in the same place. A husband and wife, Bob and Karen Alter, each made a hole-in-one on the same day on the same golf course.
Bob was playing with friends in the morning at The Ranch Country Club and made his ace on the par 3 fourth hole.
"Just a little 8-iron, landed on the green, bounced a couple of times and went right in the hole," Bob said.
It was his fifth ace in his golfing career, and the third time he had made a hole-in-one on the fourth hole at The Ranch. When the round ended he called his wife on the phone to let her know.
"He goes, 'oh by the way, I had a hole-in-one.' At first, I thought he was teasing," Karen said.
A few hours later Karen was playing the same course with friends when she made an ace on the difficult par 3 fifteenth hole.
"I hit my driver and it bounced twice," Karen said.
