IOC drops wrestling from 2020 Olympics

IOC leaders dropped wrestling from the Olympic program on Tuesday, a surprise decision that removes one of the oldest Olympic sports from the 2020 Games.

    US wins gold, beats Spain 107-100

    Kevin Durant scored 30 points, LeBron James added 19 and the U.S. men's basketball team defended its Olympic title, holding off stubborn Spain 107-100 on Sunday for the gold medal — just as the Americans did in 2008.

      McCartney paid $1.57 for Olympics gig

      London Olympic organizers say former Beatle Paul McCartney and other star performers who took part in Friday's opening ceremony essentially donated their time — receiving a mere pound ($1.57) — for their performances.

        Police arrest teen over Olympic tweets

        A U.K. teenager was arrested and cited for harassment Tuesday for posting malicious Twitter messages directed at British Olympic diver Tom Daley, police said.
