SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - It definitely felt like fall Friday morning but most of us escaped a frost as most temperatures stayed above 32 degree.
Some people don't mind the cooler weather.
“I love it, I love this, we walk all year long in the winter we're out here when it's icy and cold and miserable this is the best time absolutely the best time,” said Linda Kennedy of East Longmeadow.
Even though it was cool it wasn't quite cold enough to take care of the pollen or the mosquitoes.
“You'll see adult mosquitoes out and about. They'll drop off significantly in the colder temperatures and they won't be able to fly as well but you'll still see them out and about until mid to late October,” said Bob Russell of American Pest Solutions.
“Things that have been cancelled because of the mosquito scare and the Triple E and everything else hopefully now with the cooler weather coming in people can put that behind them and enjoy the fall before we start getting hammered with snow,” said George Adams of Springfield.
If you are an allergy sufferer we would really need the temperatures to dip down into the 20s for a number of hours to get rid of the weed pollen.
Right now rag weed pollen is still at moderate levels.
