(WWLP) - Heavy rain on Tuesday morning caused some street and stream flooding across western Massachusetts, and a Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for the region until 8:00 P.M.
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions are favorable for flash flooding throughout the day. Heavy rain caused some street flooding near the center of West Springfield, and on Grattan Street in Chicopee Falls.
In South Deerfield, Bloody Brook overflowed, bringing water up into people's backyards in the area of the Frontier Regional School.
Check out the raw video from Grattan Street in Chicopee to see where the high water in the storm drains has pushed up the manhole covers.
Additional rainfall today could cause flooding in streets and small streams. If you see flooding, you should move to higher ground, and if you are out on the roads, remember "turn around, don't drown" if you see flooding.
