CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - The National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado touched down in parts of in Connecticut on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the NWS Boston twitter , the EF-1 tornado was confirmed in Andover, Coventry and Mansfield, CT.
The path of the tornado was more than 11 miles, with 90 mph winds and a 100 yard width, said the NWS.
The NWS also confirmed that a microburst happened in Tolland, CT. A funnel cloud was seen bit did not touch down.
During Wednesday's storm, eastern Hampden County was under a Tornado Warning and a Severe Thunder Storm Warning, but there were no reports of any damage or any sightings of any tornados.
