(WWLP) - With a major winter storm headed toward western Massachusetts, here is what 22News Storm Team meteorologist Brian Lapis says that you should expect in terms of timing.
- Intermittent light snow between 6:00 A.M. and 9:00 A.M.
- By 7:00 P.M. Friday, there should be 3' to 7" of snow on the ground.
- The heaviest snow and highest winds should be between about 7:00 P.M. Friday and 2:00 A.M. Saturday. Snow could be falling at a rate of about 1" per hour, and wind gusts of up to 40 mph.
- Most of the snow should be done by noontime on Saturday.
