EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) - It might seem too early to talk about snow blowers, but in fact, now is the perfect time to make sure that yours works.
Even if your snow blower worked the last time you used it, a lot could have gone wrong between then and now.
At Acres Equipment in East Longmeadow, the most common issue that they see is with fuel left in the snow blower after winter use. If that fuel separates after being left alone for awhile, your blower won't work and it will need a repair.
If you don't test out your snow blower now, service experts might not be able to help you right away when the snow starts to pile up.
"They're going to wait. There's only so many days that we can work, so many hours with our mechanics out back. They all know their jobs, they're professionals and our advice is to do it now, don't wait,” Acres Equipment owner Connie Wiezbicki said.
With heavy snow toward the end of last winter, it's still fresh in people’s memory. As a result, Acres Equipment already has 150 snow blowers in line for repair right now.
To avoid needing a repair, use fresh fuel or use a fuel stabilizer so that it doesn't separate.
