A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for southeastern portions of Hampden County until 5:45 P.M.
The warning is for communities like Hampden, Monson, Wales, Brimfield, and Holland.
With high rainfall, street and stream flooding could occur. If you are driving and see a flooded roadway, remember: Turn around, don't drown!
The storm had brought a Tornado Warning for the Holland area until 5:30, but that has been allowed to expire. The warning area also included part of the Massachusetts Turnpike in between Exit 9 in Sturbridge and Exit 10 in Auburn, as well as all of Interstate 84 in Massachusetts.
In a severe thunderstorm or a tornado, the safest place to be is in the lowest room of your house, or in an interior room.
