CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - The 22News I-Team has an update on the Amanda Plasse photo controversy.
The 22News I-Team obtained a copy of the Chicopee Police Department's Internal Affairs investigation conclusion which details the actions of four police officers the night of and days following Plasse's murder.
The reports show that four Chicopee Police Officers were reprimanded for sharing pictures they either took or received of 20 year old murder victim Amanda Plasse, lying in a pool of blood.
The report showed that Officer Terry Dec and Sgt. Keith Lemay took pictures on their personal cell phones of the body. Dec sent the picture to six other officers.
Sgt. Lemay sent the picture to Sgt. Jeffrey Godere who then sent it to Officer Chad Levesque. Levesque then showed this picture to several youth football coaches in Agawam.
District Attorney Mark Mastroianni has said the officers in question didn't commit a crime.
Retired State Police Investigator Mike Pavone is currently conducting an independent investigation into this incident and several others in the police department.
Plasse was killed in August of 2011. There has not been any suspects arrested in this case.
