SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - All lanes opened after a piece of concrete came loose along Interstate-91 northbound through downtown Springfield causing traffic.
Trooper Miranda from the Massachusetts state police barracks told 22News that a chunk of concrete came loose along the highway.
The highway was not closed, and traffic was diverted around the area. The traffic is now running smoothly.
Trooper Miranda told 22News, the concrete came loose in the middle lane.
22News received several Report-It emails saying the piece of cement on I-91 northbound where the highway splits off into I-291 became loose earlier this week.
The State Highway Department patched up the pothole just after 6:00 Wednesday night.
