Springfield (WWLP) - A 27 year old motorcycle rider was seriously injured Saturday night in Springfield.
Police Captain Cheryl Claprood told 22News at around 9 o'clock last night, the man, who was riding a motorcycle, allegedly blew through a red light and collided with a pickup truck at the intersection of Spring and Worthington Street.
The man was taken to Baystate Medical Center with potentially life-threatening injuries. As of Sunday afternoon, the man is still in critical condition, according to Lt. Robert Moynihan.
A woman who was a passenger in the truck that was hit was also injured.
