Allison Finch is the weekend morning meteorologist and weekday weather multimedia journalist for 22News.
Originally from Connecticut, she spent the past five years in Albany, New York. While there, Allison received her Bachelor of Science degree in atmospheric science from the University at Albany. During her time in college, she interned for the New York State Mesonet, WFSB in Connecticut, and conducted research with a group of students in Greenland. Allison started her career at Albany’s WNYT as a part-time meteorologist during her senior year of college where she continued to work after graduation.
In high school, Allison loved earth science. It was that love that led her to travel to the rainforests in Honduras. There she helped conduct research with a group of students in the Cusuco National Park through Operation Wallacea. Her passion for earth science and physics is what made her pursue a career in atmospheric science.
In her free time, Allison enjoys being with her family and friends. Summer is her favorite season. She especially likes to spend time during the warmer months by the lake she enjoyed while growing up.
Her favorite type of weather to forecast is thunderstorms.
